Jesse Eisenberg has filed a lawsuit against Lionsgate Entertainment and Grindstone Entertainment for allegedly trying to fraudulently capitalize on the The Social Network star’s fame, according to legal documents obtained by ET.
The court papers state that the low-budget horror movie Camp Hell has been advertised as a film starring Eisenberg even though he appears onscreen for “less than five minutes.”
According to the documents, Eisenberg originally agreed to play a cameo role in the picture “as a favor to friends” for “minimal compensation.”
“Eisenberg is bringing this lawsuit in order to warn his fans and public that, contrary to the manner in which the defendants are advertising the film, Eisenberg is not the star of and does not appear in a prominent role in Camp Hell, but instead has a cameo role in Camp Hell,” the papers state.
The suit asks for Lionsgate and Grindstone to compensate Eisenberg for damages of at least $3 million.
does anyone else think its ironic that he only wanted minimal compensation for the role and now he’s asking for a $3 milion payment for the lawsuit

Best Picture: The Artist
Best Director: Michel Hazanivicius- The Artist
oh how original
Best Actor: Brad Pitt- Moneyball, The Tree of Life
ok i will never understand why everyone loves Brad Pitt’s performance in Moneyball. It’s like George Clooney in Up in the Air, he’s just playing the charismatic attractive leading male that you root for. It just doesn’t seem like a stretch for him. I guess I liked him in The Tree of Life though even though the more I think about the film the more I’m starting to think it’s a bunch of hipster nonsense.
Best Actress: Meryl Streep- The Iron Lady
I feel like an asshole because every time Meryl Streep wins something I’m gonna end up counting it as a well deserved strike against Viola Davis who really did not do anything for me in The Help.
Best Supporting Actor: Albert Brooks- Drive
Ok I totally loved Drive and everything, I just don’t understand why this performance keeps getting singled out. He does some great understated work here but I feel like if anyone should be getting credit for powerful use of expression and chilling line readings it should be Ryan Gosling.
Best Supporting Actress: Jessica Chastain- The Help, The Tree of Life, Take Shelter
Ok I have complicated feelings about this. First of all, why not The Debt also? Second, would she really have been given this win if she’d only given one of these performances this year? Methinks not. On the other hand, she was really the major standout in The Help and she really emptied herself out for Terrence Malick’s auteurial vision in The Tree of Life, so I guess I’m not complaining.
Best Screenplay: Moneyball- Aaron Sorkin, Steven Zaillian
I liked it. It didn’t really WOW me or anything, but it was better than Sorkin’s pretentious script for The Social Network so I guess I’m over it. It would’ve been nice to see Beginners here though.
so i was looking through my sent emails and i saw my thank you’s to people for sending me birthday money.
i sent the same one to everyone so i just copied and pasted and changed the name. the first was to my aunt and the second was to my grandma and i just realized the one i sent to my grandma says “dear aunt grandma.”
WHAT?!?!? NOOOO!!! I love the scene where Annie confronts Helen and the scene with Helen in the car.
ok yeah that was good but to get there i’d have to go through the bridal shower and the whole relationship drama thing and it just makes me tired thinking about it. now i want to skip to the car part though hahah
I think I’m gonna watch Bridesmaids again even though I didn’t think it was anything too amazing but it was still really funny and I really don’t feel like catching up with Certified Copy since that looks like it requires thinking.
Nah. If you read the novel, Daisy actually looks like someone who would pass for a majestic looking girl. Hello Keira. Look at her in Atonement pulling off that dress. But Keira’s too tall. Anyway I disagree about Scarlett. I’m sick of Leo’s face.
lol Scarlett totally just matches how I pictured Daisy when reading the book. Also the only time I’ve ever really liked a Leonardo DiCaprio performance was in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape
I will never understand why everyone things Ryan Gosling is so attractive. I think his face is really weird and I can’t stand his voice either. Also when he tries to come off as self deprecating in interviews he totally overdoes it and he just ends up making himself sound like an idiot.
